PRESS NOTICE
Sub: Construction of building of India Pavilion for Expo 2010, Shanghai, China
The General Manager(TDMD), ITPO, Room No.108, Pragati Bhavan, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on behalf of CMD, ITPO re-invites Prequalification Applications from firms/contractors of repute for short-listing the agency to undertake the work " Construction of building of India Pavilion for Expo 2010, Shanghai, China", Estimated cost : 13.50 crores; Period of completion : 9 months 1. Broad Scope of work (i) Construction of building works which include broadly civil, electrical, air-conditioning, plumbing, development works fire-detection/fighting, horticulture work, acoustic, rain water harvesting, and renewable energy system etc. (ii) Maintenance of building structure of the Pavilion, plumbing, development works, rain water harvesting, renewable energy system, fire-detection/fighting and acoustic work, air-conditioning, and such works are to be carried out up to the close of the Expo. (iii) Dismantling/disposal of the building structure & services and restoration of the site in original condition. 2. Contractors who fulfil the following requirements for each work separately shall be eligible to apply. (i)Should have satisfactorily completed two similar works each costing not less than Rs.8.10 crores or one similar work costing not less than Rs.10.80 crores during last 7 years ending December 2008. The similar work means, multi-storey RCC framed structure (three-storey or more with internal electrical installations, HVAC, fire-fighting etc. (ii) Should have average annual financial turnover of Rs.6.75 crores during the last 3 years ending 31.3.2008. (iii) Should not have incurred any loss in more than two years during the last 5 years ending 31.3.2008.(iv) Should have a solvency of Rs.5.40 crores from scheduled bank. Solvency Certificate should not be older than 31.12.2008. (v) The contractor shall indicate the name(s) of the prospective associated construction agencies located in China (preferably inshanghai) enlisted with Expo 2010 as a mandatory criteria for selection. 3. Desirous and eligible contractors may apply for Prequalification along with supporting documents in sealed envelope dully super-scribed with the name of work and date of opening, to the General Manager(TDMD), ITPO, Room No.108, Pragati Bhavan, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi - 110001. The application shall be received up to 15.00 hours on 28.1.2009 and will be opened by him or authorized representative in his office on the same day at 15.30 hrs. Only short-listed agencies will be asked to purchase the bid document by paying Rs.1,500/-(non-refundable) thereafter. 4. While submitting the application, the agencies will have to submit the PAN/TAN and contract tax/service tax/VAT Registration No. In case any information furnished by the any applicant is found incorrect at a later stage, he shall be liable to be debarred from the tendering/taking up of work in ITPO. ITPO reserves the right to verify the particulars furnished by the applicant independently. ITPO also reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason and restrict the list of prequalified contractors to any number deemed suitable by it, if too many applications are received, satisfying the basic prequalification criteria. 5.
