Applications are invited for filling up of the following vacancies of Dy. Manager carrying the pay-scale of Rs.8600-250-14600 (under IDA pattern) :-
A. General Cadre :
1. Dy. Manager (Exhibitions/Management System) : 7 posts
Qualifications: Essential : Master’s Degree in Arts/Commerce/Science or a Degree in Engineering. (Preference will be given to candidates, who have specialization in Business Administration, Business Economics, Personnel Management, Statistics etc.) Desirable: (i) Diploma in Foreign Trade/Marketing Management /Market Research from a recognized University/ Institution. (ii) Knowledge of foreign languages other than English. (iii) Knowledge of computer application.
Experience: 2 years supervisory experience in Marketing/Market Research/Export Promotion in Government/ PSUs/Reputed Private Sector Organisations.
2. Dy. Manager (Public Relations) : 1 post
Qualifications: Essential : Master’s Degree in Arts/Commerce/ Science or a Degree in Engineering. (Preference will be given to candidates who have specialization in Psychology, Public Relations, Journalism and Mass Communication). Desirable: (i) Diploma in Mass Communication /Public Relations/ Advertising from a recognized University/ Institution. (ii) Knowledge of foreign languages other than English. (iii) Knowledge of computer application.
Experience: 2 years supervisory experience in Public Relations/Advertising/Media Relations in Government/ PSUs/Reputed Private Sector Organisations.

3. Dy. Manager (Computer) : 2 posts
Qualifications: Essential : (1) BE/B.Tech/M.Sc. in Computer Science/Electronics OR (2) P.G. Diploma/ M.Phil/M.C.A. in Computer Science or Operations Research or equivalent with atleast 60% marks in the aggregate. OR (3) M.A. (Mathematics/Statistics/Operations Research or Economics)/M. Sc. (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics/Operation Research)/ B.E./ B.Tech with at least 60% marks in the aggregate. Desirable: Knowledge of foreign languages other than English.
Experience: 1 year supervisory experience in Oracle database management on Sun Solaris platform and or in Window Server 2000/2003 in networking environment in Government/ PSUs/Reputed Private Sector Organisations.
4. Dy. Manager (Admn) : 2 posts
Qualifications: Essential: Master’s Degree in Arts/Commerce/Science or a Degree in Engineering. (Preference will be given to candidates, who have specialization in Business Administration, Business Economics, Personnel Management, Statistics etc.) Desirable:: (i) Diploma in Personnel Management/ Public Administration/Business Management from a recognized University/Institution. (ii) Knowledge of foreign languages other than English. (iii) Knowledge of computer application.
Experience: 2 years supervisory experience in Administration/Personnel Management in Government/ PSUs/Reputed Private Sector Organisations.
5. Dy. Manager (Law) : 2 posts
Qualifications: Essential :LLB/BGL Degree from a recognized University. Desirable: (i) Knowledge of foreign languages other than English. (ii) Knowledge of computer application.
Experience: 3 years experience of practice as advocate or in judiciary of a State Government or in the legal department of Central/State Government/PSUs.
6. Dy. Manager (Stores) : 1 post
Qualifications: Essential : Bachelor’s degree and diploma in Inventory Control/Material Management from a recognized University. (Preference will be given to Post Graduate Diploma Holders). Desirable: (i) Knowledge of foreign languages other than English. (ii) Knowledge of computer application.
Experience: 2 years supervisory experience with Customs/handling and clearance/insurance claims, inventory control and stores purchase.

B. Finance Cadre :
1. Dy Manager (Finance & Accounts) : 4 posts
Qualifications: Essential : CA or ICWA or 2nd Class graduate who passed SAS (Commercial) examination conducted by C&AG. Desirable (i) Working knowledge of computer application. (ii) Knowledge of foreign languages other than English.
Experience: (i) Experience not necessary for qualified CA/ICWA; (ii) 3 years experience after passing SAS(Commercial) for SAS qualified persons.
Note: Preference will be given for experience in Govt./PSUs.
C. Works Cadre :
1. Deputy Manager (Civil) : 1 post
Qualifications: Essential: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution. Desirable: Knowledge of foreign languages, other than English.
Experience: 6 years experience in Civil engineering in Government/ Public Sector/ reputed Private Sector organisations, preferably in the field of exhibitions.
2. Deputy Manager (Electrical) : 1 post
Qualifications: Essential: Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution. Desirable: Knowledge of foreign languages, other than English.
Experience: Essential: 6 years experience in electrical engineering in Government/ Public Sector/ reputed Private Sector organisations, preferably in the field of exhibitions.
D. Design & Display Cadre :
1. Deputy Manager (Design) : 1 post
Qualifications: Essential: B.F.A. Ist Class in Applied Arts (four years course).Desirable: 1) M.F.A. in Applied Arts; 2) Specialised training in India or abroad in design/display and graphics; 3) Knowledge of foreign languages, other than English.
Experience: Essential: 3 years experience in the case of B.F.A. candidates, and one year experience in the case of M.F.A. in design/ display and graphics in Govt. Public Sector/ reputed Private Sector organisations, preferably in the field of exhibitions.

#Category of disability : i) Orthopaedically Handicapped (Partial disability of lower extremities with minimum disability of 40%.
ii) Hearing impairment with loss of minimum 60 decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies.
Relaxation in upper age limit for SCs/STs/OBCs/Physically Handicapped will be as per government rules.

1. Applications in the prescribed format, which follows this advertisement, subscribing the name of the post applied post for on the envelope, should be sent to Dr. L.D. Maggo, Sr. Administrative Officer, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21, Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi 110 016. The application must be accompanied with an application fee of Rs.500/- by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of India Trade Promotion Organisation, payable at New Delhi. Please indicate your name, address and the post applied for on the backside of the Demand Draft. Details of the Demand Draft may also be given in the application. SC, ST and Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee. Candidates desiring to apply for posts in more than one Cadre should submit separate applications alongwith prescribed application fee for each post. Those working in Central/State Government Offices/PSUs must apply through proper channel. Applications received directly will not be entertained.

2. Applications completed in all respect must reach the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi on or before 1st November, 2007 alongwith two self- attested recent photographs, photocopies of certificates/testimonials duly attested by a Gazetted Officer, failing which the application will be rejected. Applications not accompanied with the prescribed application fee of Rs.500/- will also be rejected.
3. The candidates have to appear for a written test and interview etc., at their own expense. However, SC/ST candidates residing outside Delhi, called for interview will be reimbursed 2nd class to and fro rail or bus fare by the shortest route, subject to production of ticket(s), provided they are not already working in PSUs or Central/State Government Offices.
4. IIFT will not be responsible for non-receipt of any communication sent to the candidates due to postal/non-delivery or delay or loss in transit. IIFT reserves the right to short list and/ or to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason.
5. Mere fulfilling the criteria will not vest any right in the candidate for being called for the written test/interview etc.
6. In case, it is found at any stage that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria and / or that he/ she has furnished any incorrect/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material information, his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings are detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated.
