Subject : Expression of Interest
India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) is the premier trade promotion
organization under the Department of Commerce, Government of India.
The core competence of the company is to promote export trade through
exhibitions, fairs and buyer seller meet.
Since the last decade, global economy is witnessing phenomenal transformations
entailing continental power shifts. The playing fields are changing,
the players are being replaced and the rules of the game are redefined.
India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) is grappling with the changing
environment by offering more value added trade related support services
on competitive terms.
In this backdrop, ITPO invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from Management
Advisory, Assistance and Consultancy Firms/Companies having more than
15 years of experience of advising industries, Chambers of Commerce,
and various trade promotion bodies in the areas of trade promotion.
The companies should have worked in different sectors of industries
in which ITPO organizes major fairs, such as, textiles and clothings,
consumer goods, food, healthcare, machineries & engineering goods,
retail etc.
The companies should have had experience of creating innovative trade
/ business development platforms for national level organizations
similar to ITPO.
1. Scope of Work
- Surveying the global and Indian trade environment to identify current
and emerging marketing opportunities for ITPO and suggest ways to
bench mark 'Ahar' and 'Tex-styles India' shows during the year 2009-10
and subsequent years to international standards.
- Benchmark ITPO's 'India Show' events in coming years including 2009,
The parameters for benchmarking will include, but not limited to pavilion,management,
publicity, footfalls, business output etc.
- Make specific recommendations for increasing ITPO's share of the trade
fair business in India and their linkages with foreign fairs in related
sectors / customer base.
- Make specific recommendations for improving size of participation
in ITPO Pavilion in foreign fairs and to improve the quality of support
services provided to clients / customers in such fairs.
- Make specific recommendations to ITPO for improving its revenues and
profitability.
The interested companies should send in their profile along with list
of their clients supported with relevant documents, listing out some
of the projects on which they have worked satisfactorily, PAN and
TIN No., and audited balance sheet for the last three years.
The shortlisted companies will be invited to make a presentation outlining
their experience and the strategy / proposals that they would be adopting.
2. Evaluation of Bids
The selection process will involve a two-stage evaluation of bids.
First stage will be evaluation of Technical Bids. Second stage will
be evaluation of Financial Bids. Weightage of 70% will be given to
technical evaluation and a weightage of 30% to the financial evaluation.
However, to be able to qualify, a company should secure minimum 50%
of the marks in technical evaluation. The selection would, thus, take
into account both Technical and Financial Bids.
Interested companies should apply giving their particulars, as
detailed above, at the following address on or before 31st March
2008 in two separate bids - (i) Technical Bid and (ii) Financial
Bid. The two bids should be in separate sealed covers superscribed
"Technical Bid" and "Financial Bid" respectively.
