India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) with its Headquarters at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi is a Company registered under Section 25 of the Indian Companies Act of 1956. ITPO is mandated to organize fairs/exhibitions/buyer-seller meets/conferences and other export promotion activities in India and abroad.

ITPO intends to widen its scope by undertaking the work of Investment Promotion. However, before ITPO embarks on the programme of Investment Promotion, it wishes to engage the services of an internationally acclaimed agency to prepare a report by examining the following:

(1.)To suggest the most appropriate business model and organizational structure to undertake trade promotion activities and investment promotion as well, taking into account the existing charter of India Investment Centre (IIC) as well as the pattern of other TPOs such as Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) etc.

(2.)To indicate the human resource requirements and the areas of expertise, professional experience etc. required

(3.) To indicate strategies for resource generation including assistance from Chambers and Trade & industry

(4.) Suggest marketing strategy and business plan to increase India’s market share in new markets and world trade keeping in view latest trends in world trade

(5.)Suggest how in the liberalized global economy any organization like ITPO can do the job of investment promotion?
