Subject: PURCHASE OF 2 NOS. "PORTABLE EXPLOSIVE DETECTORS"


Sir, Sealed tenders (Technical bids and financial bids) are invited for supply of 2 NOS. PORTABLE EXPLOSIVE DETECTORS. Technical bids should contain information as per Annexure-I and be put in an envelope. Financial bids should contain information as per Annexure-II and be put in another envelope. Both the envelopes may be put together in one sealed cover, superscribing "TENDER FOR SUPPLY OF 2 NOS. PORTABLE EXPLOSIVE DETECTORS. Tenderers are requested to kindly collect the tender document from the undersigned and send the sealed tender on any working day during office hours on or before 03.11.2008 by 3.00 p.m.. The tenders received after due date and time will not be entertained. The technical bids will be opened on the same day at 4.00 pm in the Conference Room, Pragati Bhawan, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi in the presence of the willing tenderers. Financial bids of only those companies, who meet the technical specifications, will be opened separately.

The tender may be addressed to the Manager (Stores) and put in the 'Tender Box' kept in Stores Division at Prantik Building, near Gate No. 1, India Trade Promotion Organisation, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi-110001 in sealed cover. The tenderers who qualify in the technical bids will be required to give demonstration of their equipment in a very short period. The tender documents can be collected in person on payment of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) (Non-refundable & non transferable) by Demand Draft in favour of "India Trade Promotion Organisation" or in cash to be deposited in Cash Section of ITPO on any working day from 11.00 am. to 5.00 pm. The tender document with terms & conditions, technical specifications of the security equipments can also be downloaded from ITPO's Website- www.indiatradefair.com. However, the tender's cost of Rs. 500/-in the form of demand draft in favour of "India Trade Promotion Organisation" along with the technical bid should be enclosed. EMD of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty thousand only) in favour of "India Trade Promotion Organisation" should be enclosed with tender. In case, the due date is declared a holiday, tender shall be opened on the next working day or any date fixed by ITPO. The above security equipments are required to be delivered to ITPO within a period of 7 days from the date of placing the order.
