ITPO is a PSU established with the objective to promote, organize, participate in industrial trade and other fairs and exhibitions abroad (Europe, America, South-East Asia etc.) promoting Indian Trade &  Industries.  ITPO participates/organizes events globally and incurs
expenditure towards payment of space rent construction & Decoration, handling & clearing, publicity, entertainment and hotel bills etc.  The estimated amount of expenditure eligible for VAT claims works out to Rs. 30.00 lakh (approx.).  We wish to empanel agencies initially for a period of one year which will be expendable after review to claim the refund of VAT from the concerned overseas authorities on commission basis.

Interested agencies may submit their offers to Mr. Gajraj Singh, Senior Manager (Finance), Pragati Maidan, New Delhi-110 001 latest by 28/5/2009 along-with the documents as detailed on the website.




              Documents to be submitted by the VAT agencies:-

1. Registration Certificates of the agency withvarious statutory authorities including Income Tax and Service Tax.

2. Turnover of the Agency along-with a copy of the Audited Balance Sheet and the Annual Report for 2007-08.

3. Bank Guarantee of Rs. 3.00 lakh from a nationalized bank with a validity for the period of contract.

4. Profile of the agency along-with the names of the PSUs and Companies for which it has been employed for VAT refunds.

5. The Countries in which the agency will undertake refund of VAT.

6. Quote the percentage of commission (inclusive of all taxes) on the  amount of actual refund of VAT.

The empanelment of agency will be for a period of one year which will be extendable submit to review of the performance.

The VAT agency will be required to deposit full VAT refunds to ITPO. ITPO will separately release the amount of commission as agreed after deduction of the taxes as applicable.  An agreement will be entered into with the selected agencies in this matter.

ITPO reserves the right to accept or reject any offer without assigning any reason.
