SUB: Expression of Interest – Preparation of about 25,000 tamper proof bar coded
        plastic identity cards

India Trade Promotion Organisation, a Govt. of India enterprise, shall be organising its mega annual event, India International Trade Fair 2010 during 14-27 November, 2010 at Pragati Maidan. Entry into Pragati Maidan during the 14-day period of IITF 2010 will be regulated through secured entry badges. In order to prevent unauthorised entry into the premises, counterfeiting of entry badges and tracking the visitors during the event and making the visitors’ entry process planned and organised, ITPO is looking for a comprehensive solution of preparing about 25,000 tamper-proof bar coded plastic identity cards. The bar coded cards will have the personal details of the individual with his/her photograph. The cards are to be printed in four colours on both sides.

The entry of visitors etc. during the event will be through 11 entry points where the hand held bar code readers with TFT colour monitors and other equipments are to be installed. The vendor shall be responsible for providing comprehensive hardware and software along with peripherals like suitable colour laserjet printers, scanners, cameras etc. with necessary technical man-power at a designated location for printing of cards.

In order to meet the above objectives, ITPO invites Expression of Interest in the prescribed format for a comprehensive solution from technically competent companies willing to undertake the job.

Companies willing to undertake the job shall be required to make a presentation to ITPO on the comprehensive solution being offered for meeting the objective. Based on their technical strengths and presentation made to ITPO by the interested companies, ITPO shall shortlist a few companies for participation in the commercial bidding.

Broad Scope of Work:
  1. Delivery and installation of necessary IT hardware and software for making about 25,000 tamper proof bard coded plastic identity cards;
  2. Delivery and installation of fixed or hand held bar code readers numbering about 12 along with relevant IT hardware and accessories
  3. Provision of technical man-power for executing the printing of cards and on-site maintenance of all the equipments and software etc.;
Interested companies may either obtain the prescribed form from Senior Manager (Security), India Trade Promotion Organisation, Pragati Bhavan, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi – 110001 on any working day (Monday through Friday) between 11.00 a.m. and 05.00 p.m. (excluding lunch period (01.30 p.m. to 02.00 p.m. on payment of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only) through bank draft favouring India Trade Promotion Organisation payable at Delhi/ New Delhi or download the form from ITPO’s website www.indiatradefair.com and deposit the document cost along with the filled-in form. The tender document cost of Rs. 1000/- is non-refundable.

The Expression of Interest form duly filled in with the tender document cost accompanied by other documents may please be submitted to The Senior Manager (Security), India Trade Promotion Organisation, Pragati Bhavan, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi – 110001 latest by July 26th, 2010.
