1. BRIEF DETAILS OF THE PRAGATI MAIDAN
         
India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) provides a wide spectrum of services to trade & industry and acts as a catalyst for growth of India's trade.  It manages India's premier exhibition complex-Pragati Maidan, which is constantly upgraded.

Spread over 140 acres of prime land in the heart of India's capital, New Delhi, Pragati Maidan offers over 62,000 square meters of covered exhibition in 16 halls, besides 10,000 square meters of open display area.  The fair complex offers the kind of ambience that is conducive to a variety of exhibitions featuring gigantic machinery and equipment, to delicate exhibits having handle-with-care tags.

Currently about 80 exhibitions are being held in Pragati Maidan annually.  These exhibitions cover engineering goods, technology, services and consumer products, specialized exhibitions cover major sectors of Indian economy like information technology, communications, environment, machine tools, power, petroleum, water, hotels, garment machinery equipment, medical equipment & optics, mining and metallurgy. Apart from these trade exhibitions, Pragati Maidan is also hosting International Conferences and Congresses.


2.1 The Consultancy  firms (Consultant) with following background may submit their Expression of Interest  to SM (Architecture),Room no. 232,Pragati Bhawan, ITPO Pragati Maidan, New Delhi./ by 3.00 PM on or before 15th September, 2008:

i) The firm should have experience in planning, designing, and execution of signages of at least three large complexes like Airports, Auditoria, Indoor Stadia, Exhibition Halls, and Industries etc. during last five years.
ii) The firm should have adequate no. of qualified manpower on list for  designing and execution of similar projects,


2.3 The firm should submit their Profiles in separate sealed envelope along with following details:

i)  Company Profile
ii) Details of similar works (Designing  and execution of signages) outlined above along with photographs, drawings, & certificates from clients etc during last 5 years along with satisfactory completion certificate..        
iii) Details of qualifications of regular manpower of the Company, Address of Branch Offices, if any, along with facilities available to handle the project.
iv) Latest Income Tax Clearance Certificate.
v)  Latest clearance certificates of Service Tax, VAT, Labour Welfare Certificate, etc.
vi) Annual audited accounts for the last three years.


3. BROAD SCOPE OF WORK

ITPO Plans to provide international standard signage system for entry and exit gates, road network, exhibition halls (inside and outside),facilities like toilets, F&B outlets, kiosks, theatres, Metro Station, parking, stores and warehouses, offices, banks post office etc. The signage system should also cover various temporary services being carried out during IITF like ambulances, dispensary, first aid, help desk, police booth, lost and found. Scope of work includes layout & architectural drawings, structural systems including specification and other planning and execution work.
       
3.1 PLANNING & DESIGNING STAGE        

3.1.1 Examine the signage system of Pragati Maidan which includes the gates, roads, halls, parking, hoardings etc. by carrying out the survey.
 
3.1.2 Prepare layout plan showing existing features and preliminary sketches of the proposed scheme.

3.1.3 Prepare drawings and specifications of the unit design various signage's, including structural systems as per approved layout plan.

3.1.4 Get approval of the employer at all relevant stages and modify the design and drawings if so required by the employer till the final approval.

3.1.5 Submit as and when desired by the Engineer-in-charge the detailed calculations and computer outputs and other relevant design details adopted by the consultant.

3.1.6 Prepare a duly coloured perspective view/3D.


3.2 CONSTRUCTION STAGE

3.2.1 Construction/Execution of signage system as per the approved drawings and specifications.
