India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) on behalf of Govt. of India is setting up India Pavilion at Expo, 2010 (May 1 – October 31, 2010) at Shanghai, China. The theme of the Shanghai Expo is "Better City, Better Life". Construction, decoration and the content of display in India Pavilion is to be developed keeping in view the theme/sub-themes, proposed theme of India Pavilion being "Cities of
Harmony" with sub themes as:
(i) Cultural diversity and harmony in urban India.
(ii) Technology and tradition in urban India.
(iii) Integration of rural and urban India.
(iv) Providing affordable urban amenities to all sections of society.

A plot of 4000 sqm. (80mX50m) has been allotted for India Pavilion in Zone 'A' located on eastern side of Huangpu river.

ITPO invites expression of interest from reputed & specialized agencies for undertaking the task of "Consultancy services for setting up of India Pavilion".

The project involves:
(i) Conceptualization and designing of India Pavilion on the basis of the main theme and its sub-themes.
(ii) To evolve content of India Pavilion
(iii) Preparing architectural, structural and interior design/ drawing, estimates and obtaining approvals from Expo authorities/local bodies, bidding document for construction, coordination and supervision of construction work. (Construction work will be carried out by other agency after inviting the bids by ITPO)
(iv) Execution and Maintenance of interior decoration and set up works and removal after the Expo and
(v) Manning of the Pavilion including all operations of Audio-visual projection
system during the entire period of Expo.

Agencies, who qualify the following criteria, may apply with theirprofile to "General Manager (TDMD) Room No.108, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi - 110001" up to 3:00 p.m. on 20.6.2008.

(i) Should have experience of Planning and designing and managing at
national or international level for country Pavilion, State Pavilion
or such as Expos, Olympic Games, Common Wealth Games, and Asian Games.
(ii) Should have working experience with International partners in
Cross Cultural Environment.
(iii) Should have a team of Planners, Architects, Engineers, Structural Designers and Interior Decorators or shall associate them.
(iv) Shall associate a project Management Consultant from China, from amongst empanelled agencies with Expo authorities.

Application received after the due date and time due to postal delay will not be considered. Short listed agencies will be required to submit their Technical bids
and Financial bids along with EMD separately. The agencies shortlisted after the Technical bids are opened will be required to make presentation before Steering Committee.

Pre-bid conference will be held on 16.6.2008 at 3.00pm in the Conference Room of ITPO, Pragati Bhawan, Pragati Maidan New Delhi. ITPO reserves right to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason whatsoever at any point of time.
