Expression of Interest
Sub: Invitation of Bids for Providing Consultancy. Services for Addressable Fire Alarm(Detection), Fire Fighting and Public Address System at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Sealed Technical and financial bids in separate sealed covers are invited from reputed and experienced Consultants for "Providing consultancy services for the work of Addressable Fire Alarm (Detection), Fire Fighting Arrangements and PA System at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi". The Consultant must have successfully provided consultancy to Govt. Deptts. or Public Sector Undertakings for atleast two projects of similar nature costing not less than Rs.1.00crore during last 3 years. Documentary proof of having successfully completed such projects must be submitted along with technical bid. Consultant/consulting firm wiling to be considered may apply with, experience in similar work etc. company profile, details of work completed, documentary proof of satisfactory completion of 2 works as stipulated above and the works in hands so as to reach the Sr. Manager(Electrical), India Trade Promotion Organization, Room No.147, Pragati Bhawan, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi - 110001 latest by 16.02.2009 at 3.00pm. Technical bids will be opened at 3.30pm on the same day. Financial bids will be opened only from the short-listed Consultants whose Technical Bids are accepted. CONSULTANCY FEES TERMS OF REFERENCE Total consultancy fees payable _____________ (The consultant shall quote the fees as lump sum for the Scope given in the TOR.) I. I/We hereby offer our consultancy services for a total fee as indicated above and as per the terms & conditions attached herewith. II. I/We agree to keep the offer valid for 60 days from the date of submission. III. I/We declare that we shall treat these documents and other documents connected with the work confidential and shall not communicate the information derived there from to any person other than a person to whom we have been authorized to communicate.

1. DEFINITIONS & EXTENT OF AGREEMENT For the purpose of agreement, the following words and expressions shall have the meaning hereby assigned to them, except where the context otherwise requires. i. "Employer" means the CMD, ITPO which shall unless excluded by or repugnant to the context include employer's representative/representative as appointed by employer or authorized by employer. ii. "Approved" means approved by employer's representative in writing including subsequent confirmation of previous approval and 'Approval' means approval by employer's representative in writing. iii. "Employer's representative" means the Senior Manager, Electrical, India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) or any other person authorized by him as in charge of the work and would sign the agreement on behalf of the ITPO. iv. "Consultant" means Architectural/Consulting firm to whom the consultancy services assigned. v. "Contract" means the documents forming the offer, letter of acceptance thereof and the formal agreement executed between the employer and the consultant, together with the documents referred to therein including the terms and conditions for consultancy works. vi. "Engineer in Charge" means the Engineer Officer who shall supervise and be in-charge of the work and who shall sign the contract on behalf of ITPO. The Consultant accepts the relationship of trust and confidence established between him and Engineer-in-Charge by this agreement. He covenants the Engineer-in-Charge to furnish his best skill and judgment for the professional structural design. 2. BRIEF DETAILS OF THE PRAGATI MAIDAN India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) provides a wide spectrum of services to trade & industry and acts as a catalyst for growth of India's trade. It manages India's premier exhibition complex-Pragati Maidan, which is constantly upgraded. Spread over 140 acres of prime land in the heart of India's capital, New Delhi, Pragati Maidan has 20 exhibition halls, besides 10,000 square meters of open display area. The fair complex offers the kind of ambience that is conducive to a variety of exhibitions featuring gigantic machinery and equipment, to delicate exhibits having handle-with-care tags. Currently about 80 exhibitions are being held in Pragati Maidan annually. These exhibitions cover engineering goods, technology, services and consumer products, specialized exhibitions cover major sectors of Indian economy like information technology, communications, environment, machine tools, power, petroleum, water, hotels, garment machinery equipment, medical equipment & optics, mining and metallurgy. Apart from these trade exhibitions, Pragati Maidan is also hosting International Conferences and Congresses. The following facilities are existing in the campus.
