Subject: 71st International Handicrafts Fair, Florence (Italy), April 14 -22, 2007



Dear Sir/Madam,

      We are pleased to inform you that the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) has decided to organize India's participation in the 71st International Handicrafts Fair to be held in Florence (Italy) from April 14 - 22, 2007.

      International Handicrafts Fair (Florence) is an established fair in Europe. The 2006 edition of the event was organized in an area of 55000 sq. mts. More than 850 companies from different parts of the world participated in this edition of the event which was visited by about 1,20,000 general visitors and 5000 professionals .

The product profile for display includes Handicrafts, Clothing & Accessories, Home Furnishings, Furniture, Gifts and Jewellery. Retail Sales are also permitted in this event.

The participation fee is expected to be around @ Rs.17,500/- per sq mtr. plus 12.24% service tax or Euro 300 per sq.mtr.. For two side open stand, 10% extra will be charged. The exact participation charges will be intimated to you shortly. The stands are available in the size of 10 sq mtrs. each. The package of services offered by ITPO would include built up stand having wall to wall carpet, lighting, fascia, standard display aids, furniture and general publicity support. The participants will have to make their own arrangements for dispatch and return of exhibits including handling/clearing and insurance.


        Kindly note that if you pay the participation fee in Euro, the service tax 12.24% will not be applicable.

The fair is governed by general terms and conditions for participation abroad in International Trade Fairs and Exhibitions organized by India Trade Promotion Organisation. A copy of brief rules and regulations for participation in Fairs abroad is enclosed.

In view of the limited space, please confirm your space booking immediately in the enclosed application form duly filled in along with an advance payment of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) or Euro 1000 (Euro One Thousand only) by demand draft in favour of 'India Trade Promotion Organisation'.
