Dear Sir,
We are pleased to inform you that the India
Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), a Government of India
Enterprise, is organising India's national participation
in the AF-L' Artigiano In Fiera -12th International Crafts
Selling Exhibition, Milan (Italy) December 1 - 9, 2007.
The event began in 1996 with one clear objective
to give centre stage to handicrafts and the enormous range
and quality of handmade products by devoting a separate
exhibition entirely to the sector. AFL is the world's biggest
International fair entirely dedicated to arts and crafts.
AFL responds to three fundamental needs of every small -
medium arts and crafts business i.e. (i) Sell directly .(ii)
Try out new products on the market:(iii) Professionals of
this Industry
Last year, 2573 exhibitors from 100 countries
took part in this event. More than 33 million visited the
fair. Among them, 30,000 were professionals. The exhibition
is open to general public and trade visitors both for spot-booking
and retail sale.
The Fact Sheet and Product Categories are
attached at Annexure A and B respectively.
The participation fee is expected to be
around Rs.20,000/- per sq mtrs + 12.36% service tax OR Euro
350/- per sq.mtrs. and 10% will be charged extra for a two-side
open booth. Kindly note that if you pay the participation
fee in Euro, the service tax of 12.36% will not be applicable.
Against the participation fee the package of services offered
includes built-up stand having carpet, lighting, fascia,
standard display aids, furniture, services of common interpreter,
general publicity support and direct mail invitations to
prospective buyers etc. The exact charges are being worked
out and will be intimated to you shortly.
As limited space is available allocation will
be done on FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED BASIS. The minimum bookable
space is 12 sq.mtrs.and larger space may be booked in multiples
of 3 sq.mtrs. Participants would have to make their own
arrangements for dispatch and return of their exhibits including
handling, clearing and insurance at their own cost.
The fair is governed by general terms and
conditions for participation in International Trade Fairs
and Exhibitions organised by India Trade Promotion Organisation.
A copy of brief Rules and Regulations for participation
in Fairs abroad is enclosed.
We hope you would like to avail this opportunity
and participate in this Fair with a view to increase demand
for your products in Italy. We would request you to please
confirm your space requirement immediately in the enclosed
application form along with an advance payment of Euro 1000
(Euro One Thousand only) by Demand Draft drawn in favour
of India Trade Promotion Organisation, New Delhi which will
be adjusted against the participation fee.
