India Trade Promotion Organisation, based on last year's overwhelming response from Indian Trade and Industry and exporters, has decided to set up "India Pavilion" in the forthcoming 40th Algiers International Fair, June 2-7, 2007.

The event is prominent in the region. The Algerian Government is giving special importance to the 40th anniversary of the event. Algeria has been selected as the capital of "Arab Culture" for this year. As such Algerian government is sponsoring special events concurrently with the exhibition. The event is followed by African games. These activities are expected to increase visitorship to the exhibition.

Presently, the bilateral trade between the two countries is Rs.160 crores. Major items of exports are dairy products, vegetables and fruits, natural honey, nuts, coffee, tea, spices, cereals, oil seeds, grains, industrial & medicinal balances, fodder, sugar & sugar confectionary, tobacco & tobacco manufacturing/substitutes, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, tanning and dyeing extracts, plastic & article thereof, rubber and article thereof, articles of leather, saddlery and harness, travel needs, hand bags, paper and paper board, cotton, man-made filament & staple fibres, textiles and fabrics, knitted or crocheted, ceramic products, glass and glass-wares, articles of iron and steel, implements, electrical machinery and equipments parts thereof.

I.T.P.O shall provide a built up booth of 9 sq. mtrs. @ Rs.9000/-(tentative) per m2 + service tax of 12.24% (to be paid to Ministry of Finance, Government of India), (without freight facility). You may consider payment of space rental in U.S. Dollar @ $200 per m2 (tentatively), in which case the service charges are not payable. The package includes carpeting, partitions, adequate lighting, one desk, two chairs, electrical socket and general publicity support. Any additional requirements are to be borne by the exhibitors.

Retail sale in the event is strictly not allowed.

The participating company can avail MDA as per the guidelines of Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.

The minimum bookable space is 9 sq. mtrs., and any additional requirement can be provided in multiples of 3 sq. mtrs.

You may book space by submitting the enclosed application form along with D.D. for Rs.50,000.00 or US$ 1200 payable in favour of India Trade Promotion Organisation at Delhi (in rupees)/New York (in case you prefer to make payment in U.S. dollar) towards advance amounts, adjustable against the full participation fee.
