The maiden edition of Auto Ancillary Show 2012, an industry show designed on an exclusive B2B format, is being organized by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) at the Auto Cluster Exhibition Complex, PCMC, Pune from October 18 to 21, 2012.
The event is being held in collaboration with the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries & Agriculture (MCCIA) and with support of the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India.
The show is being organised at Pune, considering its importance as a major automobile and auto ancillary hub.
Indian auto ancillary industry is poised for a rapid growth in the coming years as it is riding on the boom in the automobile sector. Automobile industry from a current turnover of US$ 73 billion is expected to touch a level of US$ 145 billion by 2016. Acknowledged as the hub of small car manufacturer, India is expected to be the third largest market for light vehicles and cars by 2020. In terms of numbers the production is expected to reach 12 million by 2020 from a level of 2.7million in 2010. Significantly, the exports of automobiles from India have touched a figure of US$ 6 billion as per latest data available.
The fair aims to provide an ideal platform to the manufacturers of automobile components and assemblies for technology upgradation, tie-ups and joint ventures with overseas companies, who intend to set-up manufacturing facilities in India. It will also serve as a one-stop-shop and facilitate interaction between the government departments, financial institutions with entrepreneurs, in their quest for expansion and technological up-gradation.
To make the show more meaningful for the participants and visiting Indian and overseas delegates, a number of technical seminars on the subjects of topical relevance are also scheduled during the fair.
Manufacturers of transport vehicles and equipments of two wheelers, cars, buses, trucks, tractors etc., auto equipment & machinery suppliers and retailers, R&D consultants, Government agencies, policy makers, trade & industry, technocrats & plant technicians, promotional agencies, media, as well as, business visitors from world over are expected to visit the fair.
